Support

Familicity is built and run by one person, so you're writing to a human. Mail support@familicity.io and you'll get an answer.

How do I join a family?

An admin of the family adds you as a member and gets a join code. Sign in on your own phone, enter the code, and you're in. Codes expire, so ask for a fresh one if it's been sitting around.

My child doesn't have a phone

That's fine — add them as a member anyway. They appear on the lists and the leaderboard, and a parent can mark chores on their behalf. The child still earns the full points; marking it yourself only skips a small self-marking bonus.

How do repeating chores work?

A chore carries a schedule — daily, weekly, monthly, every other week, several times a day — and the app generates the day's list from it. You can add an extra round for a single day, or skip a day when it doesn't apply, without touching the schedule itself.

Shared vs. personal chores

A shared chore is one job for the household; if several people pitch in, they split the points. A personal chore is generated for each member separately, so everyone has their own copy to tick off.

How do rewards work?

Admins set up a reward catalogue with a point price on each item. Members spend their reward balance to request one, and an admin approves it. The ledger shows every event that moved the balance — and the ones that didn't, with the reason.

Turning notifications down

Family settings has a master switch per notification type. Each person can then override it for themselves on the Account screen — inherit, on, or off. Quiet hours are respected, and nothing is sent overnight.

Two households

Separated parents can link their two families. The linking admin chooses which children are shared and which chores travel between the homes, and the other side maps them onto their own members. Either side can unlink at any time; shared chores stay behind as ordinary chores in both homes.

Something is broken

Mail support@familicity.io with what you did and what happened. If you can, say roughly when — it makes the logs much easier to search.
